PriceMatch — Privacy Policy

PriceMatch is a browser extension that shows the price of the product you are viewing on one Ukrainian online store in other supported stores. This page explains exactly what data it handles.
What the extension reads
On product pages of the supported stores (Rozetka, Foxtrot, Allo) the extension reads the product’s name, brand, model code and price from the page you opened. It does not read anything on other pages, and it never reads page content beyond the product description.
What is sent where
- To the supported stores — the extension performs a product search on the other stores from your browser, the same way you would by typing in their search box.
- To the PriceMatch server — the product name/price you are viewing and the names/prices of the search results, so an AI model can decide which result is the same product. Your access code and your IP address are also processed to enforce usage limits.
Nothing else leaves your browser. No browsing history, no cookies, no account data, no page content.
What is stored
- In your browser — your access code (synced with your Chrome profile) and a one-hour cache of comparison results, cleared when the browser closes.
- On the server — only usage counters per access code and short-lived rate-limit counters per IP address (expire within 48 hours). Product data is processed in memory and not retained.
Third parties
The AI comparison is performed by Google’s Gemini API on behalf of PriceMatch. Only product titles and prices are sent to it. No advertising, analytics or tracking services are used.
Your choices
Remove the extension at any time from chrome://extensions; this deletes everything stored in your browser. To have your access code’s counters deleted, contact the developer.
